Bus Rapid Transit (Glider) Vehicles

project in planning

The project involves the supply of Bus Rapid Transit (Glider) vehicles aimed at expanding and modernizing Belfast's Glider network in Belfast, Northern Ireland. The Glider system, launched in 2018, has significantly increased public transport patronage in Belfast by offering a modern, efficient, and accessible service. To support the planned expansion of the Glider network, Translink intends to establish a framework for procuring low-floor, wheelchair-accessible, zero-emission articulated BRT vehicles. This framework will facilitate the acquisition of additional vehicles and potentially replace existing hybrid electric BRT vehicles over time.
