Description | The project will improve bus stop infrastructure to create a safer, more comfortable, and more accessible travel experience for public transit users in Durham Region. It will also help ensure that the region’s bus stops are fully accessible by 2025, in accordance with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA). The project consists of installation and expansion of approximately 600 bus stop pads, installation of approximately 420 security solar lights, 20 benches, 20 new shelters and 15 new bike racks. |
