The project involves the development of an Information Technology(IT) Business Processing Outsourcing(BPO) Park in Uganda.The Assets and Services Overview for 16.38-Acre ICT Park includes:Establishment of a business cluster with a High-End Software Lab & Data Center.Direct employment target: 35,000 (including 10,000 independent consultants working outside the ICT park).Indirect employment projection: 100,000 (Legal, Accounting, Marketing, Security, Catering, Commuting, etc.).Expected number of firms: Approximately 100 once fully occupied (including 80 MSMEs & startups).Anticipated business turnover: USD 60 billion over 30 years of operations (cumulative).Revenue to the Government of Uganda (GoU) over 30 years from Special Purpose Company (SPC): Approximately USD 1.45 billion.Potential creation of excellent social infrastructure in the vicinity over time.Commencement of the digital/knowledge economy accompanied by an increase in e-governance.Encouragement of an ICT Start-up culture.Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) estimate: About USD 200 million (by SOC and occupants) in the initial years.Emphasis on capacity building and technology transfer.Positioning Uganda as a leading ICT destination.
