Description | BUZZ High Performance Computing, a subsidiary of HIVE Digital Technologies, plans to build a 320 MW AI gigafactory in the Greater Toronto Area. The facility will host over 100,000 GPUs across a vertically integrated supercomputing platform on a 25-acre land parcel within the Toronto-Waterloo innovation corridor. The project aims to bring its first operations online in the second half of 2027 and carries a price tag of approximately CAD $3.5 billion. It will draw roughly 320 MW of utility power from Ontario's low-carbon grid and feature a sustainable, low-water-use cooling system. The project is expected to create over 800 construction jobs and hundreds of permanent high-skill positions once operational. |
