The vessel was constructed in 2006, has a production capacity of 100,000 barrels per day of oil and storage capacity of 900,000 barrels. It was previously operated offshore Western Australia and later laid up in Malaysia. BW Offshore aims to use this redeployable FPSO for faster and cheaper solutions compared to tanker conversions, focusing on projects in highly-regulated jurisdictions and monitoring opportunities in Namibia. |
