The project includes construction of 8.78 miles of perimeter embankments, 2.35 miles of interior embankments, 3.78 miles of seepage canal, 0.53 mile of inflow/spreader canal and 0.77 mile of outflow collection canal. A 690-cu-ft-per-second (cfs) inflow pump station will allow water to be pumped into the basin. The project was designed by Arcadis US Inc., and the project owner is the South Florida Water Management District. |
