The Cabedelo/PB fishing terminal project was qualified at the 12th Meeting of the PPI Council, through Resolution No. 115, of 02/19/2020, converted into Decree No. 10,383, of 05/28/2020. The Cabedelo Public Fishing Terminal, installed in the municipality of the same name in the State of Paraíba, is located in an area adjacent to the Port of Cabedelo, on BR-230, Km 14. It has a privileged geographical location and an area of 5 thousand m² for docking ocean fishing vessels and is equipped with a pier strip on a concrete platform on piles approximately 100 meters long and has road access (BR-101 and BR-230), waterway access via the Paraíba do Norte River and transport of passenger trains administered by CBTU. It also contains the structure of a floating pier, 34 meters long, to support the operations of the artisanal fleet, 3,600 m² of built area in its various pavilions, as well as an effluent treatment unit and an external area with water. drinking water, artesian well, entrance gate/guardhouse, space for vehicle maneuvers, spaces for cars and trucks, bicycle parking and urbanization. The fish warehouse has an industrial plant for processing fish, primarily tuna and similar, fresh and frozen with capacity for movement of 80 tons/day, where washing activities will be carried out (cold and chlorinated water), classification, measurement, weighing, temperature checking, treatment, storage of fish and bait with a total capacity of 550 tons. In addition, tunnels are installed for freezing fish, an ice factory for 250 tons with screw conveyor and blowing unit, as well as facilities for supplying water, electricity, and fuel to supply the vessels. refrigeration equipment, power substation, maintenance room, buildings for administrative reception functions, radiocommunications station, facilities for inspection activities, cafeteria, outpatient clinic, administrative protocol, classroom with capacity for 42 people, changing rooms, bathrooms, laundry and warehouse, and, according to preliminary studies, the area is able to carry out its activities, requiring improvements and specific interventions.
