Description	The CABLEGNOSIS project is a European research initiative aimed at developing innovative technologies for electricity transmission cables to support the green energy transition and achieve the EU's 2050 energy goals. It involves the development of advanced cable insulation and conductor technologies using environmentally friendly materials, as well as methodologies for fault prediction, aging monitoring, and remote cable monitoring. The KIOS Center of Excellence, in collaboration with the Electricity Authority of Cyprus, will develop methodologies for monitoring underground high-voltage cable temperatures and fault location detection, tested on Cyprus' transmission system digital twin and real operating conditions.
