Cache Creek - Debris Flow Management - Old Cariboo Road

The project will complete improvements to natural and structural assets to increase resilience to the affects of climate change impact, natural disasters and extreme weather events by regrading and installing culverts on a section of Old Cariboo Road. Bank restoration and erosion protection management measures will also be completed. The works will reduce the impact of overland debris flows from the adjacent hillside that impact the Riverside mobile home park and well as the users of the road. The project works include: - Re-grading approximately 170m road section including base, sub-base and top asphalt; - Removal and disposal of existing asphalt, sub-base and base material; - Removal and disposal of excavation material to provide debris management; - Bank Restoration and Erosion Protection Management measures; and - Other related works.
