Description | The Cadence Amapá Iron Ore Project in Brazil has secured the Installation Licence, authorising physical construction, plant refurbishment, civil works, and site preparation. The project targets an annual production capacity of 5.5 million tonnes of iron ore using open-pit mining and benefits from refurbishing existing infrastructure, including the Azteca plant, which is scheduled for commissioning in June 2026. The project is funded in part by a US$4.6 million binding prepayment offtake facility and holds an estimated NPV of US$1.9 billion. |
