Description
Description | The construction of the toll road started in Aug. 1990 and was completed in Feb. 1993. The estimated traffic volume daily was 3,115 vehicles, but the actual volume as lower. Financial closure was initially achieved as follows: 20% in equity; 80% in debt from BANOBRAS (state owned bank). This project was turned back to the government in the end of 1997 (among other 22 projects), because its performance was well below the estimated; the Mexican government agreed to pay the sponsor's debt related to the project and the concessionaire agreed to turn the operations to the government in 1999. (Note: all values were converted to 1990 values from their original 1993 values.) |
