Description | Hidroeléctrica de Cahora Bassa (HCB) has awarded a contract to ANDRITZ for the rehabilitation of the Cahora Bassa hydropower plant. The project aims to improve efficiency, reliability, availability, and maintainability, increasing turbine capacity by over 4%. ANDRITZ will deliver new generators, turbine runners, control and protection systems, and hydromechanical equipment, covering design, engineering, manufacturing, supply, installation, testing, and commissioning. Work will be phased to maintain continuous power generation and coordinate with the nearby Songo Converter Substation rehabilitation. |
