Description | In September 2006, Beijing Herocan Environmental Engineering Tech Co. Ltd. signed a 20-year build, operate, transfer (BOT) contract to construct and operate the Caijiabo Wastewater Treatment Plant in Baoji City, Zhishanxian County, Shaanxi Province, China. The plant's design capacity was 50,000 cubic meters of waste water daily. Beijing Herocan was a 51% subsidiary of Singapore automation company CNA Group. The contract was signed on behalf of the local government by the Zhishanxian County Construction Department of Baoji City. The project was expected to cost RMB 60million (US$ 7.5million) and was financed partly by CNA's resources and partly through government loans. Plant construction was expected to have started in the third quarter of 2006 and was expected to be complete by December 2007. As of February 2007, the project was under construction. |
