Description | The City of Calgary is advancing the Green Line LRT project with a focus on Phase 1, which includes the southeast portion from Shepherd to the Event Centre/Grand Central Station near Victoria Park and a downtown segment. Construction began in June and is progressing with a targeted completion date in 2031. The project has received combined funding of C$6.25 billion from the City of Calgary, Province of Alberta, and Government of Canada. The downtown segment's construction start is planned for 2027, pending assessment of elevated track alignment costs and risks. |
