Description
Description | Aerocali, a consortium formed by AENA (33.3%), Dragados (part of ACS Group as of 2003) (33.3%) and CFC (33.3%), was awarded the contract to rehabilitate and operate the airport located in the city of Palmira, Cali. The contract was awarded for a 20-year period, in which the sponsors will invest around US$ 125 million (immediate investments will be directed to general maintenance of the facilities and to the construction of a new international terminal). A lease fee of US$ 3 million per year plus 40.1% of the airport revenues will be transferred to the government (the estimated present value of the annual lease payments is US$ 53 million, using a discount rate of 12.1% - Banco de la Republica). Aerocali took over the management of the airport in Sep. 2000. The traffic in the airport is around 2 million passengers per year (11.26% of the total passenger traffic of Colombia). In September 2007, Abertis Infraestructuras SA acquired for US $381 million ACS's airport concession arm DCA which owned 33.3% of Cali Alfonso Bonilla Airport. In August 2013, AENA bought the 33.3% ownership from Abertis for US$ 5.3 million (4 million euro). |
