California High-Speed Rail Project

planned

The California High-Speed Rail Authority plans to issue a request for qualifications in December for a private partner to co-develop segments of the high-speed rail program. The project aims to select a co-development partner by mid-2026 to design, build, operate, finance, and maintain parts of the rail line. The initial phase involves completing a 171-mile stretch in the Central Valley with an estimated cost of US$37 billion, while the entire San Francisco to Los Angeles line could require up to US$99 billion in funding.
