Description | Only seven of California’s 52 hydrogen refuelling stations remain online amid an ongoing hydrogen supply disruption that has caused disruption since February 2026. A total of 45 stations are offline or unavailable due to disruptions in gaseous hydrogen supply and liquid hydrogen supply issues. The disruption is caused by a suspension of deliveries following a fatal explosion in a hydrogen gas trailer and separate supplier plant outages. Some stations are also upgrading their hydrogen dispensers or closed due to technical issues. |
