A California utility has expanded its residential vehicle-to-everything initiative to include Tesla Cybertruck owners. The program allows participants to use their electric vehicles for home backup power during outages and to supply energy back to the grid during high demand periods, earning compensation. This is the first alternating current vehicle-to-grid application for customers in California, using less complex connection equipment. The program aims to enhance grid stability and provide financial incentives for bidirectional equipment and interconnection costs.
