Description | Camco International (LON:CAO) was planning the development of the 2MW biogas plant in Palong, Pahang State. The project was originally developed by Thodia Energy, via its subsidiary Biopower Climate Care Holding SDN which was sold to Camco International in August 2012. The project is developed under a 13 year BOOT contract with the local mill owner, which is to supply feed stock free of charge in return for a share in the revenue. The output is to be sold to the national grid via a PPA with the utility. Commissioning was expected for 2013. Total project cost was US$4 million, including the acquisition of development rights. The project is reported as under development as there is no report of financial closure. The project was expected to apply for carbon credits.
