Description

Description

This project was to retrofit the existing lift station and do other associated site improvements., Lift station #4 was built in the mid-1980s as part of the Camden Highlands housing development and serves approximately 24 single family residences. The lift station has reached the end of its design life and maintaining the outdated lift station is becoming time consuming and expensive. The pump manufacturer no longer provides support for the pumps and the city operations crew is having to machine custom parts in order to maintain the lift station. In addition to the time and expense necessary to maintain the outdate lift station, frequent mechanical failures create the risk of sewage backing up into adjacent homes., A temporary sewer bypass system was installed ahead of the project, so there were no disruptions to the 24 single family homes served by the lift station. A 20-foot lane will be maintained around the project site, so no disruptions to thoroughfare or adjacent property ingress/egress happened. Construction started in Spring of 2022 and was completed in Summer of 2022.,
