Cameroon - Education II Project

The present intervention concerns the Education II Project. This is a project to strengthen primary education as part of the new dynamic created by the law on the orientation of the education system. It is designed as an instrument to help strengthen the participation of beneficiaries. To this end, school construction is planned in communities that demonstrate a willingness to participate in the establishment of infrastructure and, above all, in its maintenance. In addition, the project should strengthen pedagogical supervision structures by providing them with the means to carry out their main tasks of academic inspection, in-service teacher training and micro-planning. The main components of the project are: (A) institutional strengthening; (B) reducing inequalities and increasing the quality of primary education; and (C) project management.
