Description

The project is part of the framework of poverty reduction and the fight against drought in a context of climate change. It consists mainly of conducting a : (i) preliminary technical studies of a maximum of 15 hill reservoir sites with associated irrigable land (FTE); (ii) feasibility studies of preliminary design studies (PDS) of favourable sites (maximum 10) following the preliminary technical studies; (iii) detailed preliminary project feasibility studies (APD) on 5 hill dam sites and associated hydro-agricultural developments; (iv) an environmental and social impact study (ESIA) for each of the 5 hill dam sites and associated hydro-agricultural developments, together with an environmental and social management plan (ESMP); and (v) an environmental and social impact assessment (ESIA) for each of the 5 hill dam sites and associated hydro-agricultural developments, together with an environmental and social management plan (ESMP): (v) draw up tender documents (DAO) for the five hill retention sites and associated hydro-agricultural developments; and then (vi) organise a round table of donors with a view to financing the development of the five hill retention sites and associated hydro-agricultural perimeters. This project is planned for a total duration of 19 months from the signature of the grant agreement and will be implemented by the Ministry of Water and Energy (MINEE).
