The project involves the modernization, operation and maintenance of 14 toll plazas across Cameroon, structured as a 20-year PPP agreement. The special purpose vehicle for the concession is TOLLCAM Partenariat S.A.S, established by Egis (50%) and Fayat Group (50%). The lenders on the $52.5 million, 7-year debt package are Societe Generale Cameroun and Société Commerciale de Banque Cameroun (SCB), a subsidiary of the Attijariwafa Bank Group. GuarantCo, part of the Private Infrastructure Development Group (PIDG), provided a $38.4 million (XAF equivalent) guarantee solution to the lenders and is also offering a 75% partial credit guarantee during the last 7 years of the project as an additional risk mitigant.
