CATHERINA (CAmouflage THERmo INteligent and Adaptive) will integrate optically adaptive camouflage with infrared and thermal detection-resistant properties to create a smart textile that will protect tomorrow's soldiers in the theatre of battle. Each characteristic bringing unique capabilities to create a holistic, groundbreaking textile solution towards a multi-level disguise, guaranteeing the safety of, among others, the soldiers. This integrated approach enhances its versatility and suitability for diverse defence scenarios. Unlike traditional modular camouflage systems that require manual adjustments and have limited responsiveness, this product combines various functions into one, simplifying deployment and optimizing resource allocation. Its ability to provide multi-level disguise is particularly valuable in life-or-death situations where camouflage is crucial.
