Description | The Camp Nou stadium in Barcelona is undergoing a renovation project that began after the 2022-23 season. The project includes demolishing the third tier to expand the stadium's capacity from 99,000 to 105,000, making it the fifth-largest stadium in the world. Other updates include work on the first and second tiers, technological improvements, exterior urbanization, demolition of the South Goal zone structure, restoration, waterproofing, and improvements to retransmission systems. Technological upgrades include new telecommunications connections, relocation of the data processing center, and new facilities for TV units. Additional work involves the Lateral Zone car park, a new smart central storage area, an experiential space for members, and tree transplantation and conditioning. |
