Camp Tillicum Renewal Project

The Camp Tillicum Renewal (the Project) involves revitalizing and renovating the facility to serve as a key resource for youth within the community. The project will aim to continue to be a destination centre for youth-oriented programs, education, and personal development. The scope of the project includes: • Demolishing the old recreational hall and rebuilding a new facility that is accessible and safe; • Removing any existing safety hazards on grounds; and • Updating the bathroom facilities. The project will improve access to and quality of community and recreational infrastructure by providing a new modern facility that will serve the children of the North Bay Area. Many of these children wouldn’t have had the opportunity to take part in a summer camp if not for Tillicum, due to financial constraints. Many children who attend the Camp are financially assisted through the YMCA.
