Camposol S.A. (“Camposol” or the “Company”) is a leading Peruvian multinational agribusiness company specializing in the production of high-quality fresh fruit. The Company has operations in Peru, Colombia, Uruguay, and Chile, and manages a vertically integrated business model that enables quality assurance across the entire supply chain (https://camposol.com).The proposed investment consists of: (i) a US$64 million IFC A Loan; (ii) a US$36 million MCPP Trust Loan; and (iii) a US$40 million B Loan. IFC’s financing will support Camposol’s agricultural operations in La Libertad, Peru, through a capital expenditure program and associated working capital aimed at the gradual replacement of Biloxy blueberry varieties across the Agromas, Aeropuerto, Mar Verde, Gloria, Oro Azul, Valle Perdido, 74A, Yakuyminka, Sincromax, San José, and Agricultor farms. These farms currently represent approximately 50% of the total planted area. IFC’s proceeds will not be used for any expansion of the Project’s physical footprint and are limited to the replacement of existing blueberry varieties with Camposol’s proprietary genetics (the “Project”).
