CAMPUS GREENWAY MULTI-USE TRAIL - PHASE I

The proposed Campus Greenway multi-use trail is part of the master plan to create a more pedestrian and bicycle friendly campus at Georgia Southern. The proposed greenway trail would link nearby student residential communities and perimeter parking facilities to the central campus corridor. The project would link campus intramural, softball and baseball fields to the City of Statesboro's linear park trail. The trail would be constructed to ADA standards. Informative signage along the trail would provide interpretation of the natural surroundings. Decorative security lighting would be installed on this portion of the trail system along with other site amenities of benches, trash receptacles, picnic facilities and bike racks. Security lighting will have a break-away design. Landscaping using native plants appropriate to the surrounding ecosystems would also be incorporated.
