Canada Domestic Oil Pipeline from Hardisty to Sarnia

A proposed 3,300-kilometre oil pipeline starting in Hardisty, Alberta, traversing Saskatchewan, Manitoba, northern Ontario, and ending in Sarnia, Ontario. The pipeline is designed to transport up to 500,000 barrels per day of crude oil, with potential expansion to 800,000 barrels per day. The project aims to reduce Canada's reliance on U.S. oil infrastructure and develop new export markets, with future potential extension to the Atlantic coast for exports to Europe. The project includes a meaningful ownership stake for Indigenous communities and promises substantial methane reductions. The longstanding federal ban on oil tanker loading/unloading on British Columbia's north coast remains in place.
