Description
Description | The construction of Canada Drive/Columbus Drive Shared-Use Path consists of upgrading the existing sidewalk on the West side of Columbus Drive from Captain Whalen Drive to Canada Drive and then the sidewalk on the North side of Canada Drive from Columbus Drive to Cowan Avenue. This will connect to the existing SUP at Captain Whalen Drive and extend the SUP to create a continuous 1.3 km active transportation route comfortable for use by people of all ages and abilities. The project supports transportation equity by filling gaps in current public transit coverage and connecting neighbourhoods and essential destinations with a shared-use path that will attract people of all ages and abilities to walk, stroll, roll or cycle. |
