Canada National Water Security Strategy

planned

The Government of Canada has launched its first-ever National Water Security Strategy, led by the Canada Water Agency in collaboration with provincial, territorial and municipal governments, Indigenous Peoples, stakeholders and the public. The strategy aims to address freshwater risks, allocate resources, and protect ecosystems through coordinated national action, incorporating Indigenous science and a broad water-energy-food nexus approach.
