Canada's First 3D Printed Multi-Storey Residence

The University of Windsor is constructing Canada's first 3D-printed multi-storey, net-zero student residence using a large-scale concrete 3D printer. The seven-unit residence will also serve as a research facility for the university's engineering faculty, evaluating durability, energy performance, and cost efficiency of additive construction technology. The project is supported by $2 million funding from FedDev Ontario and partners Printerra Inc. and Desjardins Ontario Credit Union, aiming to address Ontario's housing shortage by providing a faster and lower-cost construction solution.
