Description

CAME project, is a town twinning project between the twinning Cities of Bassano del Grappa (IT) and Mühlacker (DE). The project’s activities will be implemented in Bassano del Grappa in 2022 during the bicentenary of Antonio Canova's death. Thanks to his role as an art ambassador, he has been one of the first artists to use art to promote positive international cooperation across Europe. The project aims to: - increase the participation of young people in cultural events in the two municipalities. - to deepen knowledge of the artistic and cultural heritage of the European Union in the citizens of the municipalities of Bassano del Grappa and Mühlacker; - reinforce international cooperation among the two municipalities. The project will involve 60 people from the city of Mühlacker and over 100 people from Bassano del Grappa who will participate in different events and activities dedicated to the sculptor. The main target groups are: institutions and municipalities, citizens of Bassano del Grappa and Mühlacker, experts in the artistic-cultural sector of the two cities, local community of Bassano and young people from the local community of Bassano and Mühlacker. In the first phase, which will last 4 days, participants will: - attend the conference “Canova’s Genius”, participate in the exhibition “Timeless White and attend an art workshop based on NFE methodology where the participants of Bassano del Grappa and Mühlacker will create two works of art that will be exchanged as a sign of friendship and collaboration. In the second phase during 5 days of activities participants will: - be part of a round table to discuss how to increase the participation of youth in artistic and cultural events; participate in the events: “Dance for Canova”, the exhibition “Canova and Europe” and in the White Night dedicated to Canova. A manual of best practices focus on the participation of young people in cultural and artistic events will produced.
