To improve the accessibility of the rural population to public, social and civil and economic services, providing permanent availability and accessibility by improving rural roads. Towards this, the operation supports road decentralization, through the development of technical and institutional capabilities of local governments in charge of the cantonal network. The specific objective is to provide a better integration and connectivity to the rural population, and reduce the users' transport costs and travel time, through rehabilitation and maintenance investments, and actions directed towards the improvement of the road management and transport systems.
