CAP4Youth “CAP for Young Farmers: Generational Renewal and Sustainable Agriculture in Greece”, implemented during the CAP 2023-2027 interim phase in Greece, will raise awareness of the CAP’s crucial role in generational renewal within Greek agriculture, targeting farmers, stakeholders, policymakers, and young people in both rural and urban areas. CAP4Youth will undertake an array of strategically planned communication and dissemination activities tailored to the specific needs and characteristics of target audiences on the CAP’s objectives, policy tools, and measures supporting generational renewal, rural development and youth engagement in agriculture, aiming in particular to: Increase awareness among farmers, young farmers, and other rural stakeholders, as well as policymakers, regarding the relationship between generational renewal, rural development, support for young farmers, the uptake of innovation and digitalisation in agriculture supported by the CAP in order to efficiently address economic, environmental and social challenges Improve knowledge of the general public, especially young people in urban areas, regarding the role of generational renewal, vibrant rural areas, youth in agriculture, and relevant CAP objectives and support in the sustainable transition of food production systems, ensuring food security and long-term resilience. Familiarize target audiences with the role of the CAP and the Greek CSP in supporting fair income for young farmers, ensuring food security and long-term competitiveness, facilitating the transition to sustainable food production, promoting gender balance, and strengthening farmers' position in the value chain.
