Description | "Objectives: • Strengthen capacity of child helplines to respond to vulnerable children and young people • Improve quality of child helpline data on children’s rights issues available to policymakers and child protection actors through capacity building for child helplines in data collection and data management • Develop expertise at child helplines in preventing and responding to violence against children by helping them to build and enhance national partnerships between governments, children’s rights actors and the private sector Activities: • Convene Communities of Practice (CoP) for knowledge exchange on good practices on inclusion and children’s rights • Host thematic webinars • Create learning tools for child helplines on inclusive practices. • Data management capacity-building for child helplines • Continue youth-centred programming across the organisation • Further implement Minimum Quality Standards (MQS) and assess the adherence to these among EU child helplines • Systematic child helpline data collection • Finalise baseline study • Publish Thematic Advocacy Report • Disseminate results, engage members and partners through communications platforms Type and number of persons benefiting from the activities: 36 child helplines, children and young people in 28 EU member states. Expected Results: • Demonstrable contribution to implementation and monitoring of SDG 16.2 in the EU • Increased capacity of child helplines to respond to issues facing vulnerable children and young people • Enhanced engagement and coordination of child helpline services with the services of key stakeholders and national partners • Stronger evidence base for child helplines to advocate for children’s rights through improved collection and management of child helpline data, enabling improvement of child protection policy, practice and accountability • MQS to enable comprehensive and qualitative assessment and monitoring of EU child helpline’s governance, services, partnerships and practices (including data collection and M&E) and facilitate continuous improvements • Research demonstrating impact of child helpline services Deliverables: • 6 CoP meetings (4 online). • 2 thematic webinars • 2 learning tool chapters • 2 meetings of EU #Youth. • Data Management Operational Guidelines + webinar • Pilot and launch of MQS. • data collection • 1 Baseline Study • 1 Thematic Advocacy Report • communications activities." |
