Description | Created by Federal Decree No. 50,646, of May 24, 1961 and expanded by Federal Decree s/n, of November 20, 1997, it has an approximate area of 31,853.12 hectares. The region surrounding the PNC encompasses nine municipalities, four of which are in MG, which are Alto Caparaó, Alto Jequitibá, Caparaó and Espera Feliz; and five in ES, which are Divino de São Lourenço, Dores do Rio Preto, Ibitirama, Irupi and Iúna. The open attractions and activities offered support the large increase in demand for visitors to the Park, which jumped from 28,933 visits in 2011, to more than 123 thousand visits in 2019. These values represent the tourist potential that the region presents in view of the natural beauty contained in the Park. PNC territory and its scenic appeal. Resolutions and Decrees: Resolution No. 197, of August 25, 2021 – Opines for the qualification under the Investment Partnership Program and for the inclusion in the National Privatization Program of the conservation units Restinga de Jurubatiba National Park, located in the State of Rio de Janeiro, National Park Serra da Canastra, located in the State of Minas Gerais, Serra do Cipó National Park, located in the State of Minas Gerais, Caparaó National Park, located on the border between the States of Minas Gerais and Espírito Santo, and Ipanema National Forest, located in the State of São Paulo, for concession purposes to provide public services to support visitation, with provision for funding actions to support the conservation, protection and management of the aforementioned units. Decree No. 10,958, of February 7, 2022 – Provides for the qualification of conservation units within the scope of the Investment Partnership Program of the Presidency of the Republic and their inclusion in the National Privatization Program. CPPI Resolution No. 293, of November 22, 2023 – Opinions for maintaining the qualification of conservation units only within the scope of the Investment Partnership Program of the Presidency of the Republic. |
