Capital - Maliview Wastewater Treatment Plant Upgrade

The project will upgrade the sewage treatment facilities at the existing Maliview Wastewater Treatment Plant on Salt Spring Island in the Capital Regional District. The project will provide increased capacity to treat wastewater and will improve treatment to protect the marine environment, as required by the federal and provincial regulatory enforcement agencies. The project works will include: - design and engineering; - upgrades to the existing wastewater treatment plant including coagulation tank, chemical dosing system and secondary clarifiers; - upgrades to conveyance piping and sewage collection system components; - installation of new electrical and power equipment; - upgrades to existing buildings; - related civil, mechanical and electrical works; and, - all related works.
