Express serves suburban Austin and neighboring communities with new routes between Park & Ride locations and major employment hubs such as the Capitol Complex, downtown and the 38th Street Medical District. In addition to the areas currently served by Express, Project Connect includes new Express service to other parts of the region, including Del Valle and Oak Hill. MetroExpress serves suburban Austin and neighboring communities with 8 new routes between Park & Ride locations and major employment hubs such as the Capitol Complex, downtown and the 38th Street Medical District. In addition to the areas currently served by MetroExpress, Project Connect includes new MetroExpress service to other parts of the region, including Del Valle, Four Points and Oak Hill. Project Overview The MetroExpress service includes partnering with the city of Austin and regional authorities to improve existing roadways. Areas to be served: Del Valle Four Points Loop 360 Oak Hill South MoPac/Circle C CapMetro currently operates multiple MetroExpress services: Our MetroExpress routes provide commuter bus service for North Austin and outlying areas, allowing customers to leave their cars at Park & Rides and travel into Central Austin. Some MetroExpress routes are also able to take advantage of the MoPac Express Lanes, letting riders bypass traffic toll-free. These vehicles have free Wi-Fi, comfy seats and room for your bike. Five MetroExpress routes serve Northwest Austin and Leander, with the other two serving Tech Ridge or Elgin and Manor.
