Description | In September 2011, the company Comercializadora Capo was awarded the license to build and operate a wind farm in Ojuelos de Jalisco, state of Jalisco. The first phase included the installation of 30 MW in solar panels; in the second phase, the capacity was set to increase to 100 MW. The electricity generated by the power plant was set to be directed to the national grid. The sponsor committed to invest a total of US$ 149 million in the construction of the power plant. The first phase involved a cost of US$ 82 million, 70% of which was financed with a loan from Nacional Financiera. The EPC contract was signed with the construction companies Morichal and Bajo Tierra. Operations were expected to commence in June 2014. As of September 2014, construction works were underway. |
