Caraquet - Regional Generations Centre - Phase 2

This project consists of replacing three end-of-life recreation buildings with a new multi-purpose recreation centre in the Town of Caraquet, New Brunswick. The project will integrate an existing 65-hectare outdoor activities club to a new building with the following facilities: - An indoor NHL-sized arena and bleachers with 600 seats - Multi-lane walking track and changing rooms - Canteen - Indoor area for Caraquet’s outdoor club, including rental storage lockers and restrooms - Multipurpose community space and administrative area - Parking lot The planning and design of this project is Phase 1, which is funded under ICIP. The Ultimate Recipient is conducting and covering the site prep without federal or provincial funding. The project aims to improve access to a safe and quality recreational infrastructure for the Town of Caraquet and the communities that surround it.
