Carcross Lagoon Upgrades

The project will upgrade and expand the existing sewage lagoon in the Unincorporated Community of Carcross, to include the construction of a 25,000m3 storage lagoon cell and outhouse waste receiving cell, and construction of a new lift station. The project also includes upgrading the discharge piping; dislodging of three existing cells; installation of a FOB control access gate; extension of the access road around the new lagoon; installation of two security cameras; and the construction of a fence around the new storage cell. The project seeks to address the lack of long term storage and associated effluent water quality issues and will therefore increase the capacity to treat and manage wastewater for the community.
