Cardiff Crossrail Phase One

under construction

The first phase of the Cardiff Crossrail project involves constructing a new tram-train route linking Cardiff Central railway station with Cardiff Bay, including new tram platforms, a twin-track tramway through Callaghan Square, segregated cycle routes, improved pedestrian crossings, and new public spaces. The project also includes utility diversion works such as relocating a high-pressure gas main beneath Bute Street to enable construction.
