Description | The project CARE - CApacity building, Resilience and Empowerment of local communities through humanitarian volunteering will involve 29 young people (13 of them with fewer opportunities) in 10 non-EU contries (Albania, Ecuador, Guinea Bissau, Guatemala, Honduras, El Salvador, Senegal, Sierra Leone, Algeria, Perù). The consortium is composed of 3 support organisations with their branches and 3 host organisations: ENGIM, with its branch offices in Albania, Ecuador and Guinea Bissau; Médicos del Mundo Spain (MdM-ES) with its branch offices in El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, the Sahrawi refugee camps in Algeria, Senegal and Sierra Leone; Fundación para la Cooperación APY – Solidaridad en Acción (APY) with its branch office in El Salvador; TECHO Guatemala, TECHO Honduras, TECHO Perù. The project is composed of 4 work packages, each one with a related specific objective: SO1) To strengthen the capacities of the consortium to implement humanitarian actions that include young people, especially those with fewer opportunities; SO2) To promote the participation of young people in international volunteering actions in support to local communities affected by crises; SO3) To reinforce the capacities of hosting organizations, local partners and communities to address the needs of vulnerable people; SO4) To guarantee the awareness about humanitarian action through communication and dissemination of project activities and results. |
