Description | Caritas Europa’s (CE) Annual Work Programme (AWP) translates the objectives of the related Framework Partnership Agreement on social inclusion & combatting poverty into concrete activities. It ensures the continuity of CE’s work but also includes new approaches to maximise impact. With this AWP, CE reinforces the understanding of and contribution to important EU processes relating to the European Pillar of Social Rights (EPSR) and the European Semester and stresses the importance of this knowledge among its Member Organisations (MOs). Moreover, it brings the reality of people experiencing poverty to the attention of European & national stakeholders, to ensure the most adequate policy response. Caritas focuses its activities on policy contribution and support, capacity strengthening, and communication & dissemination activities & the overarching work on the good governance of the organisation. Key activities include: • Exchange on/monitor implementation of EPSR, related Action Plan & other policy initiatives on social inclusion & related policy activities at EU/national level • Foster understanding of the work towards a just economy allowing for social justice • Capacity building of social service providers, including through support to access ESF+ funding • Innovation Festival & Hub and promotion of social innovation • Spring/ Autumn Academies: Social Innovation & Human Resource Management • Executive Leadership Training Programme • Training of CE staff & new Directors of MOs • Capacity strengthening & sharing of best practices in knowledge management, organisational development, financial resource mobilisation & EU funding, youth leadership • Institutional Development: management of/accompaniment for solidarity mechanism for MOs • Fundraising, Communication & Young Caritas Forum • Building/enhancing strategic partnerships • Strengthening safeguarding from abuse • Accompaniment of MOs • Communication activities & dissemination of outputs |
