The project has been in service since 1963. Environmental groups filed a lawsuit alleging that the project's "trap and haul" operations threaten the Upper Willamette River chinook salmon and bull trout. EWEB is actively working with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission to ensure fish safety and is focusing on creating a permanent fish passage at the Trail Bridge Dam in Blue River. |
