It involved two leases in the Wilmington East Wind Energy Area, with TotalEnergies Renewable USA and Duke Energy as key stakeholders. However, the project was cancelled after TotalEnergies accepted a $1 billion taxpayer buyout from the Trump administration, which opposed offshore wind development. |
