Description

Description

Wind developer FuturEnergy Ireland, a joint venture of utility ESB and forestry company Coillte, has selected renewable energy services provider Ventolines as the owner’s engineer for the 19-turbine Carrownagowan Wind Farm project in East County Clare, Ireland. Ventolines will be in charge of the technical requirements and safeguard quality, costs, safety, and integration of all technical deliveries at the site, partnering with engineering firm Egis. The site will be built on the northern slopes of Slieve Bernagh with turbines up to 169 metres tip height. The wind farm is expected to enter construction in mid-2026 and become operational by 2028, capable of powering 70,000 homes annually. FuturEnergy Ireland was established in 2021 to develop 1 GW of onshore wind and battery storage projects by 2030, generating enough electricity for 730,000 homes per year.
