Support IGM's current effort to implement technological changes in the area of digital cartographic production, by providing the technical expertise needed to optimize digital cartographic production from the perspective of reengineering the institution (focusing on the 1:50.000 map base), by providing a concept design for a National Spatial Data Infrastructure, and also by providing input on technological solutions for spatial management of facilities and installations using geographic information systems. Also, to provide the organizational framework for a National Spatial Data Infrastructure, this TC will include in the 'Discovery and Needs Analysis' and also in the training, professionals from INE - Instituto Nacional de Estadística. Additionally, this project will analyze the current GIS projects being developed with Bank support in the area of Transportation Planning and Infrastructure Management, from the perspective of integrating what is being developed by the project and what is currently available or which will soon be at IGM.
