Description | The 273-bed Casey Hospital is a 12-year old community hospital providing bed-based services, ambulatory health care and support services to the local communities of Casey and Cardinia. Currently, it has 96 medical/surgical beds, four fully-utilised operating theatres and limited emergency services. The expansion includes 160 new beds, the hospital’s first intensive care unit, six new operating theatres, additional recovery capacity, a new day surgery unit, upgraded pharmacy, pathology and back-of-house areas, more than 300 new staff and public carparks, and a new front entry building that includes education and training spaces for Monash University. |
